CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST- Construction of a Block of Three Classrooms in Edukusu Community, Katcha LGA, Niger State

ActionAid Nigeria and AMANA Rural People’s Health Advocacy Foundation, Niger are seeking qualified and reputable contractors to express their interest in the construction of a block of three classrooms at Edukusu Community, Katcha LGA, Niger State.

Project Description:

The project involves the construction of a modern block of three classrooms, aimed at enhancing the educational infrastructure within the community. The block of classrooms is to be designed in an L-shaped layout and would also include an office and two (2) toilets.

  Key Details:

1. Scope of Work:

The contractor will be responsible for:

• Site clearing and preparation
• Foundation and structural works
• Roofing and carpentry
• Electrical and plumbing installations
• Finishing works including plastering, painting, and flooring
• Installation of doors, windows, and classroom fixtures

The contractor will also give reports at each stage of the process.

1. Technical Requirements: Bidders should demonstrate their expertise and capacity to have undertaken similar projects. This includes possessing the necessary equipment, experienced personnel, and evidence of track record in delivering successful classroom constructions.
2. Compliance: All construction activities must adhere to applicable local regulations, environmental guidelines and safety standards. Bidders should possess the required licenses and certifications.

   Submissions will be evaluated based on:

1. Experience and past project performance
2. Technical and financial capability
3. Compliance with the stated eligibility criteria
4. Completeness and clarity of the submitted documents
5. Contract Duration: The contract will be awarded for a fixed-term period. Details regarding contract duration, payment terms, and milestones will be provided to shortlisted bidders.
6. Instructions for Submission: Interested companies are requested to submit their Expression of Interest and added documentation detailing necessary company registration, licenses, experience and expertise. The EOI should include the following information:
7. Company Profile: Provide a brief overview of your company, including its background, core competencies, and key construction projects.
8. Technical Capacity: Outline your construction equipment, tools, and resources available for the project. Highlight relevant certifications, licenses, and any quality assurance processes implemented.
9. Experience: Describe your company's experience in executing similar projects, emphasizing the number of classrooms constructed, locations, and outcomes achieved. Include pictures or references from previous clients, if available.
10. Team: Introduce the key personnel who will be involved in the project, including their qualifications and relevant experience.
11. Financial Stability: Provide an overview of your company's financial standing, demonstrating your ability to fulfill the contractual obligations and tax certificates.
12. Submission should include a detailed quotation.

Shortlisted contractors will be invited to participate in a detailed tender process.
